This excerpt came from an hour long radio documentary I produced about the life of gay rights pioneer, Frank Kameny. A piece of LGBT history not found in the history books.

This is an excerpt from a special I produced that aired live. It’s certainly edgy and meant for a very specific audience but highlights the power and necessity of conversation in the gay community. Also an example of shared stories and experiences.

Aired live on SiriusXM OutQ March 17, 2012

This piece was produced for television, if it had been an audio piece there are several format changes I would have made. That said it’s a great example of a hidden history, a story that needed to be preserved.

Aired on IN THE LIFE, June 2009
